Real Estate – How to Market to Millennials

With so many real estate agents out there and the competition as tough as ever how do you stand out? Especially now with millennials who are strong in the search for their dream house. 



If you have not reached out to millennials or know how to here are some tips to help you out.

  • Online presence.  Millennials are known for always being on their mobile device.  So, it should not be surprising that they will look to the internet and Social Media to buy their homes. Having a good online presence where they can find you on all platforms of Social Media is important.  Keeping your logo and website the same throughout will make it easy for you to stand out and be found.  Make sure you have easy to see photos.  No one likes trying to figure out what is in an out of focus picture.

  • Be where they can see you.  Millennials love to gather information through Instagram, Facebook and Blog articles.  They tend to want to know about who you are and what you have to offer before they will contact you in person.  Be sure to give them the information that they want so that they will feel confident and comfortable with you when they reach out.  Keep your website and Social Media current and up to date.  Millennials are on Social Media daily and they want new information on a regular basis.

  • Show them the Unique features.  Millennials want to have “extras” when it comes to buying a property.  Show them the features that stand out on a property.  Inform them with information that they will be interested in.   Is it close to downtown where they can walk to a favorite local hangout and/or shopping?  Tell them.  

  • Make them feel heard.  Millennials like to feel heard and know that they are getting what they want.  Engage them with personal questions and listen to their thoughts and answers.  Keeping them involved in the process makes them feel valued.   They like quick response.  If they come back with a question or comment if they get no response or delayed response, they will lose interest.
