4 Tips to Set Yourself Apart as A Real Estate Expert

Are there a ton of Real Estate companies in your area and the market is flooded with potential buyers?  How do you set yourself apart and as the one that people will turn to when they are ready to buy a home? 



 Here are some ideas to help you out.


  • People like personal interaction.  Even though the internet is used to find Real Estate experts to help when purchasing a home people still want to know that they are personally important to whoever ends up helping them with the transaction.  When a potential client reaches out to you via email or a form of Social Media be sure to respond in a timely manner.  Answer their questions thoroughly and ask them personal questions that will give you a better idea of who they are and what they are needing. 

  • People are interested in a lifestyle not just a place to live.  Being aware of your community and what it has to offer is important.  Give them ideas of what there is available for entertainment, restaurants and community events.   Couples with children will be interested to know about daycare, programs for kids and the local school system.  Go the extra mile and perhaps put together a small leaflet of items from the community to give to your clients.


  • Use your online presence to your advantage.  Introduce you and your team on an “About Us” page.  Put photos of yourself and the people who work for you.  When people, although they have not met you in person, can have a face to a name it feels more personal.  Give a description about each person and tell a few things about why your team is the best.  Let them get to “know” you so that they will feel comfortable moving forward with you.


  • Know your inventory well.  For you to be successful you need to be aware of what you have to offer.  Be sure the property is in good working order and all that you tell a client about the property is correct.  If a client does a drive by of a certain property and it is in disarray, they will not be motivated to see the interior.
