While many states are opening back up despite some restrictions there are still many who are apprehensive about moving forward with selling their home. Many feel that now is not the time due to fear of having people in their homes to tour or the uncertainty of what they will do themselves for housing when they sell. How do you as a Real Estate Agent appeal to those who are on the fence about listing their home?
Here are some tips to help ease the minds of home sellers.
Give them ideas of how to list the home without fear of people having to come into the home on a regular basis. Put their minds as ease with ideas of using technology to show the home online. Show them some of the homes you have listed now that are shown on your website. Perhaps you could offer to do a live walk-thru via zoom with a potential buyer to make it more personal. This allows the buyer to also ask any questions that they may have.
Help them to know what to do to stage the home so that it will stand out and show well online. Many people now are using the internet to look for homes for the same reason sellers are. Fear of the virus. Now more than ever staging of a home to sell is very important. You as the agent can give tips and help ease your client’s mind when it comes to staging. Show them you’re the expert and they can count on you!
Price of home. Many sellers have gotten into bidding wars because of lack of inventory in the market right now. Make sure to help them see the importance of listing the home at the right price for the area. On the flip side let them see the importance of not getting into a big rush and accepting an offer that may not be the best decision for them.
